Eastern League CX, Grafham, 27 Oct 2019

I started with a slight fear of having another start line crash but that was soon gone when I started working my way up through the pack. I paid no attention to pacing in the first rush and this kept me in a strong position. Soon enough Max came onto my wheel and we formed a group with a Hub Velo man. This group of three lasted for the middle portion of the race and was a pace way faster than I was comfortable with. With about 3 laps to go Max attacked and dropped me. The other man held his wheel and I had the remaining laps on my own. I kept the pace consistent and held good lines. A guy came past me on the last corner but since the finishing straight is quite long I took him on the line to finish 20th overall which is my best overall position and 7th junior. I felt it went as well as it could have and the support on my home race was great.
